Concerns for Silent Achiever's well-being have abated but Cambridge trainer Roger James has yet to finalise racing plans for the multiple Group One-winning mare.
Silent Achiever suffered a bout of colic after her eighth placing in Saturday's Gr.2 Hollindale Stakes at the Gold Coast but recovered well enough to have a trot and canter on Monday morning.
"She seems OK but she had us worried," James said.
"We'd made arrangements to have her ready to go to the vet hospital. Everything was set up but she didn't get any worse and after a while she improved. But we were up all night with her."
James had no idea whether factors that led to her colic had impacted on Silent Achiever's below-expectations performance and was in no hurry to decide whether she would contest next month's Gr.1 Doomben Cup as earlier planned.
James had happier news closer to home with the Gr.3 Cambridge Breeders' Stakes quinella of Shees Flawless and Tavy at Te Rapa on Saturday.
Shees Flawless' win was her fourth from 10 starts and third in a row.
"I expected them both to run well. Shees Flawless is a powerhouse galloper. She's got a high cruising speed and she can quicken off it," James said.
He was uncertain of plans but indicated he would discuss options with Shees Flawless' owners later this week, with a trip to Brisbane one option.
A Brisbane campaign could also be in the offing for Tavy, while others in contention to join the Queensland-bound team are Te Rapa runners-up Visible and Miss Foxwood.
"It's Anzac Day holiday today so we'll get some homework done tomorrow and then discuss the options with the connections later in the week," James said.
